2 cans of Crescent Rolls
2 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 egg
Spread one can of crescent rolls into the bottom of a lightly oiled or sprayed 9 x 13 pan. Press the seams together. Mix the cream cheese, egg and sugar together. You can add flavoring if you wish, but I usually don’t. Spread the rolls with the cream cheese mixture. Roll out the other rolls and pinch the seams together to form a sheet the size of the pan. Top with the other can of crescent rolls. Bake at the temperature specified on the rolls until it is lightly brown.
These are easy and fast and as SOOOOOOO good. Store them in the refrigerator and simply reheat in the microwave for a few seconds.
Variation: Spread 1/2 the cream cheese mixture and then add a thin layer of your favorite preserves (strawberry is great). Top with the other 1/2 and then the second layer of crescent rolls. This is very good also, but a little messier to eat.
