Do you like to grab a breakfast bar for yourself or your kids and head off to work/school???? Are you paying big $$$$ for them and do you really know what is in them??? Try these homemade bars.
For 8 bars approximately the same size as most prepared bars
4 Cups cereal (use granola, cheerios, chex, whatever you like)
4 Cups miniature marshmallow
2 T. butter or margarine
Melt marshamallows and butter in the microwave until soft (time depends on microwave but usually about 1-2 minutes)
You can control the calories in these bars also. Each bar has 1/2 cups of Marshmallows and 1/2 T. of butter which equals 130 calories. Add to that the calories from the cereal ( 1/2 cup for each bar).
Place in Pam coated pan and refrigerate until hardener. Cut into bars and keep in cool place.
Hope you enjoy.
Nice blog people…
Hey, Do you know of a site or book that have recipes, mainly desserts that are good for diabetic people?
