Tile Coaster

These are a great gift idea.  The tile coasters sell in stores for about $10 for a set of four.
Materials needed:  tiles, alcohol, stencil (leaf), craft paint (dark colors work best such as brown or black, but feel free to experiment), brush, spray polyurethane, cork or felt circles.
Purchase four 4 inch tiles from your local hardware [...]

Fresh strawberries will soon be in season and some grocery stores have already started selling them very economically.  I bought several quarts recently and did not want to spend the time to make jam, etc.  I cleaned and cut the berries in half and placed them on a non-stick baking sheet in a single layer, [...]

High School Diploma

Easter Egg Hunt

Because GK #1 was arriving yesterday we postponed the Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma’s house until today.  There were dozens of eggs filled with “one” piece of candy or a quarter.  Uncles and Grandpa hid the eggs (laid them out on the grass).  Each GK got a bucket and the instructions were:  When your bucket [...]

Cook a ham according to the directions on the packaging.  I prefer pre-cooked hams.  I usually place them in a slow cooker for 3-5 hours on about 200-250′.  Serve the ham for dinner.
For Ham Salad place leftover ham into food processor.  Pulse until the ham is ground to your preference.  Add 1 T sweet relish [...]
